Product Description

Product Description

Studying is one of the most challenging activities and one of the most satisfying. However, if you take the wrong approach it can be frustrating and disappointing and geography in particular calls on a wide range of skills, from oral presentations to IT fluency, from working in teams to data handling. Study Skills for Geographers is an essential reference for geography undergraduates who want a clear and easily-accessible guide to getting on with research and study in geography. Recognising that methods of teaching and expectations at undergraduate level are very different to those encountered at A level, it seeks to remind students that studying geography is fun whilst outlining the basic skills required for the most efficient use of their time.

This book is essential for anyone who is doing geography, It is especially useful for improving essay skills, but also covers things like presentation skills and debating skills. It has a lot of little tasks to help you improve too, so it's not just mindless reading.

I'm a first year geography student, this book was on my reading list but it wasn't a must buy product. However I am so glad I bought this, I found it very useful, it has basic techniques and tips for geography students (They may seem basic but they do help) and I have used the book to help me with my revision and essays.
