5.0 out of 5 stars A must have for any ambitious student 7 Jun 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I only wish I'd had this book before returning to study after 20 odd years. Now two years into my psychology degree, I finally have the key to writing a 1st class exam essay. Although I have managed to get a couple of 1st in previous exam essays, I couldn't quite put my finger on the reason why. In this engagingly written book, Patrick McMurray dispels the myths surrounding what is required to please examiners and offers some excellent note-taking, studying and revision tips along the way. I have previously made good use of Stella Cottrell's Study Skills book to deliver a series of study skills workshops to 'A' level students and while it was useful, I honestly believe that Patrick McMurray's book is much more concise and easier to disseminate. Well done.
