I'm currently studying the unit 3 Biological rhythms and sleep module and have found this book extremely helpful. It is smaller than most revision guides however gets straight to the point which many psychology books fail to do. This book would be to vague for a primary reference however it is good to use along side other more detailed books to get bonus evaluation points and tips from the examiners on what to include in your essays. The back of the book has quite a few example exam question answers (one strong answer and one week answer for each question) with examiners comments on what is good and bad about the essay. These model essays are extremely helpful for improving exam technique and discovering exactly what the examiners are looking for in the questions. The book also has a brief chapter on exam technique and how to score AO2/AO3 marks effectively and understand what different wording of questions are asking you to do which is extremely useful. Overall I would definitely recommend this book to people study A levels psychology but only alongside a more detailed text, to help improve your grade.

to be honest i bought this book with quite low hopes for it however i have found it very useful. the content is good and it clearly states an outline and evaluation (for and against evidence) for each sub topic' this is invaluble when answering questions and i'm sure if this book was the only thing you learnt from before the exam, you could get high grades with the content it provides! because the actual psychology syllabus is quite vague, many researchers and points in this book may not be what your teachers have told you however they are just as valid and will get you marks, which is the aim.

overall a good revision guide, compact, to the point, clearly laid out and with good written examples at the back.

For such a surprisingly small book it contains a wealth of information to help prepare students for their unit 3 exam. I particularly like the example essays in the back to show how to avoid silly mistakes and offers 'model' answers to most questions.
I am recommending it to my students to buy as it is very reasonably priced and am looking to order some for our school library.
I only hope they do more so that some of the other topics are covered too.
