Having taught this course last year I think this book is invaluable for students and teachers alike. In contrast to other books it is concise and presents information in a visually appealing and memorable way. It breaks the course down into its main sections which also provides students with a basis for structuring their revision. The back of the book is dedicated to exam skills which are hugely important for this course. It provides students with clear guidance and exemplar materials so that they can see how to construct better answers. It is a helpful revision guide to support the in-depth study that students will need to complete this course successfully.

Used this book to help with my AS level history exam (British side) after my teacher recommended it to us - I found it really helpful as it summarised everything nicely and often had diagrams to consolidate large chunks of information. The textbook we used as a class (Edexcel GCE History - Henry VIII: Authority, Nation and Religion 1509-1540 [Unit 2 Student Book]) I found a little too wordy to revise from and dragged everything out, which was fine for classwork but I was glad of this book when the exam season came. Using just this book and my class notes, I secured an A grade in this section of the exam, so I would certainly recommend it.
