2009 debut album from German outfit The Baseballs who became popular in their native country for releasing '50s style Rock 'n' Roll covers of Rihanna's "Umbrella" and Katy Perry's "Hot 'n' Cold". The album - which includes both those singles - includes 10 more re-workings of major chart hits such as Robbie Williams' "Angels" and Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love" all delivered in their classic sounding Rockabilly style.

i first heard this album in a pub as background music, it has some very catchy tracks and i always seem to hear the same one (Hot & Cold) and loved it - was amazed to discover The Baseballs - a german cover band. They put there own sound to well known tracks and often sound better that the originals. Highly recommend.

I came across the Baseballs via the tattoo artist, who was tattooing the arm of my daughter at the time! He played this album and I loved it so much, I came straight home and bought it. I had it stolen out of my car, which got broken into during the week, and just had to get another copy asap - right sing along material.

For a devotee of early rock n'roll I thought this era was done and dusted, Then, by chance, I heard a version of Rihanna's Umbrella by this group and I was astounded. This was a modern song taken back to days when Elvis was King. I had to buy the album and thank heavens I did. It is a remarkable interpretation of "newish" songs yo a rockabilly beat and a hint of Elvis in the vocals. I can only describe the collection as mindblowing and this group of 3 German lads are to the forefront of my shopping list. Absolutely brilliant!

cant stop playing it just so easy to listen to
I love this album, my young kids love it, my parents love it, it makes you want to dance, I now struggle to listen to the originals because i prefer The Baseballs versions. Read more

What a breath of fresh air 50s treatments of modern classics .A great listen with great harmonys . If your looking for music with a different slant , this could be for you .
