If it's toe tapping, skin prickling, bogo pogoing you're after then this is the soundtrack for you. It completely captures the comic excitement of Fran and Scotts climb to the Pan Pacific Grand Final - all Strictly Ballroom of course! A definate 10/10 for a party atmosphere.

I loved Strictly Ballroom when I first saw it and continue to enjoy watching it; for me it's still Baz Lurhmann's best film. The soundtrack buzzes with fantastic Latin songs, as well as superb covers of 'oldies' (Tara Morice's rendition of Time After Time and the Spanish style version of 'Standing in the Rain' stand out for me particularly). I defy anyone not to want to dance listening to this soundtrack!

I bought this album as I love Doris Day's "Perhaps Perhaps Perhaps" and also for nostalgia as I love the movie albeit a bit cheesy. It has some classics and several pieces are just instrumentals but a nice collection. It was good value and was delivered quickly.

I never went mad for the film but i DID for the music.the best version EVER of "love is in the air" which was the only reason i got it in the first place but most of the other... Read more

Strictly Ballroom Soundtrack
LOVE the film and now LOVE this disc. Not for everybody, but if you do indeed like the film, I would recommend the soundtrack. Nothing fancy just the music you would expect.
