4.0 out of 5 stars A *must read* for all helping professionals, 30 Sep 2006
I read Saleebey's book 12 years ago when studying social work and have just read it again after years of practising. It is essential reading for all helping professionals. The philosophy of the strengths perspective makes sense and Saleeby challenges the standard ideas in practise in a way that makes one really think about how they work and how best to serve clients.

It's not a terribly easy read (thus the 4 not 5), but it is well worth the effort. It will entirely change how you work!
