I've just bought myself my own copy of Streetwise Paris, so as to avoid arguments with my partner as I snatch his copy from his hands.
The map is of central Paris, one side goes from the edge of the Bois du Boulogne to the Gare de Lyon and the start of the street index. The other side has two add ons to the main map, going south and north, a respectable sized metro map and more street index.
One of the other reviewers says it is confusing, but I think once you know a bit about Paris then you will have less problems, you know roughly where you want to look and then its compact size and detail are fantastic.
The real bonus of this map is it is light, folds down small, about a third of an A4 sheet, and is laminated and amazingly robust. I have had maps disintegrate on me in one rainy tourist day, I am sure you can wreck a Streetwise map but one day's rain isn't going to do it.
