Ah, the mighty Steven Seagal. While other action stars have long since crossed genres and attempted to strike continuing mainstream gold, Seagal ploughs on, with his latest effort being Street Wars. This sees him heading up a team of undercover cops, who specialise in bringing down big criminals. Naturally, they don’t play by conventional rules, and naturally, Seagal looks suitably moody through the whole endeavour.
But Street Wars isn’t finished there. For it also throws into the pot the job of finding out who is behind a mysterious drug, the task of protecting a film maker, and the small matter of a ticking clock. It’s a jamboree of action movie clichés, with Seagal taking centre stage.
Bluntly, you know what you’re going to get here. It’s the latest in a line of Seagal straight to DVD movies, although this one has been pulled together from the True Justice TV show. That’s not to say it’s without merit, as it’s still easy-on- the-brain action fare. But it’s very much a television production you’re getting. Anyone who’s enjoyed Seagal’s recent run of films, though, is unlikely to be disappointed. --Jon Foster

When Officer Elijah Kane (Seagal) and his team of undercover cops discover a lethal new strain of ecstasy tablet flooding the nightclubs of Seattle, they set out to purge it from the streets. But criminals and drug lords prove to be the least of Kane's problems as he battles with the over-inflated ego of a documentary filmmaker and struggles to train up a new rookie.

first off most importantly, is this is NOT a movie, it is a feature length pilot to a tv show called True Justice. so be warned you are being conned straight away.
The actual series itself is not too bad,its only let down by the lack of enthusiasm and action. The trailer you may see, is actually from the whole series, this movie barely has any action or emotion from segal. Theres no dubbing for a change, however theres clearly body doubles any time segal is shot from behind. Personally on the grounds that they have tried to market this as a movie, with no clue whatsoever that its a pilot for a tv show, I will not be buying any more segal,stick with van damme at least he seems to care about the stuff he is churning out.

The streets are laced with bad drugs in the slums and a lot of young people are at risk, Kane and his unit must race the clock and face the gangs. Plus on top of that, a filmmaker must be protected after daring to expose everything and risking everyone, Now I know that won't happen as Steven and his crew are on the ball. The cast are fabulous with Steven making you feel part of the movie and I've never being disappointed, with the full on action going in every direction you don't need much more. No more clues not going to spoil it for you so there is more, that you'll have to judge for yourself. I rated this an A grade plus for marvelous entertainment and edge of the seat thrills, so sit and relax put your feet up, grab some popcorn, watch an unforgettable movie with plenty of criminals lining up to getting shot. Well it has suspense in it as well. Watch and enjoy.

I AM A SEAGAL FAN AND HAVE BEEN FOR QUITE SOME TIME-I HAVE JUST ABOUT ALL HIS DVDS.I DO FEEL THOUGH THAT NOW HE HAS BECOME A WEE BIT TOO PREDICTABLE IN HIS CHOICE OF ROLES-LIKE VAN DAMME.ONCE YOU SEE THEM IN A PARTICULAR FILM ROLE YOU KNOW IN FUTURE THEY ARE GOING TO BEAT THE HELL OUT OF THE BAD GUYS-ALTHOUGH THATS NOT A BAD THING! IN STREET WARS WHICH IS REALLY PART OF A SEAGAL SERIES HE ONCE AGAIN REPRISES HIS ROLE OF RIDDING THE STREETS OF DRUG DEALERS PIMPS AND GENERAL CRIMINALS.SO NOTHING NEW HERE AND STRICTLY FOR SEGAL COMPLETIST FANS OF WHICH I AM STILL ONE

Don't buy this! Get the True Justice boxset from Australia instead!!
Why oh why did they release all these as individual fims?!?!?! As stated above if you like True Justice go and buy the boxset from Oz!!

I like all of Steven Seagal's DVDs
I really like all of his movies and have recommended them to other people. I like the fight scenes especially.

segal action
I like segal films I find them entertaining. This one is no different. The DVD plays well, it arrived in good time and I enjoyed watching this movie
