I brought two of those and they are indeed as good as people say. However I don't have a PS3 and I do know that this also works on PC. But as I suspected after testing them for many days, they work only on "selected" PCs. That being said, "selected" means they will only work on INTEL chipset motherboards. If your motherboard has an NVIDIA deployed chipset (any version of nForce), chances for this joystick to work are zero.
After many days looking on the web for a solution, I've discovered that the only way to make this work on a PC 100% is to use a PCI USB card with VIA chipset. You can find one very easily for about 10 pounds. So if any people have problem playing this on a PC, this is your solution.

This a "PS3 version". Mad-Catz is not held responsible for this problem, as they have never mentioned its fully compatible with PC neither it was designed to be compatible for it. Making this playable on a PC is an advantage.

I don't own a ps3 (i have bought the ps3 tournament version of the stick) and instead have a PC with windows vista ultimate. The stick was recognised straight out of the box and works extremely well. I had been using a wireless xbox controller which was fine, but this stick allows me to pull of moves with far greater precision and makes playing SF4 much more joyable.
The build quality seems very solid and I reckon the buttons can take a lot of punishment. I do think that paying £100 for a joystick is expensive, but if you're into the game then I'm sure that this will be soon forgotten.
All in all. Recommended.

Absolutely love this fightstick, this was my first time using a fightstick and it was great. Using this arcade stick is so enjoyable and I wonder why I used to play fighters on controller in the first place, also it is a great weight stick and feels like your playing in the arcade. Quality stick made from quality parts (actual Street Fighter arcade machine parts to be exact)

Happily I'm not (at least for the moment) and mine is just perfect. I still don't know how to customize a stick so I wanted to purchase a stick I would not have to work on and this Madcatz product is just amasing. The buttons and the stick are very responsive, it big enough not to move when you are practicing and their is a lot of space to place your both hands. I had 2 sticks before (Soulcalibur2 Hori and Saulabi) but this one is just the next level. I'm very happy about my investment.

This stick is huge and heavy but still comfortable when using it on your lap. Compared to an Hori real arcade pro. 3, the buttons are bit more sensible and the box is also more comfortable IMHO. The drapdoor for storing the wire is also nice.

ITS I8MPORTANT YOU KNOW THAT IM TALKING ABOUT THE PS3 TOURNAMENT EDITION. Here are the facts its heavy (thats a good thing) the buttons and joystick are the same parts from the arcade. Which means its LITTERALY THE BEST AN ARCADE STICK CAN GET. You dont have to worry about the butons or stick since they are the best quality that exist. Now the smaller details it can be bolted to tables so it never moves while playing. It also has a place to put the wire in the back of the stick which is very nice. It has a Home button on it so you dont need a pad to push that button.It comes with turbo so you can just hold a button to press it multiple times. It has a switch so you can change if the joystick counts as the direction-pad left analog or right analog. If your wondering it will work on ANY FIGHTING GAME. It can be used while playing playstation 1 games on your playstation 3 this still includes all fighting games on ps1. And here is the icing on the cake it will work with emulators on your PC like mame for example which makes it well worth it. Its even way better than the dreamcast stick (green buttons and stick) so there realy isnt a a reason to not get it.

The controller is very good. Has turbo configurable on the 8 buttons,ps button and let you select what the stick simulate (left analog,right analogh,or directional button). For pc gamers: The ps3 version is only compatible with some USB controller. If you want full compatibility buy the microsoft version that has Drivers on PC. Fortunately on my asrock vision i had a USB 3.0 port on the back that is compatible with the controller (the only ports on the 8 i have...). I gave 4 stars for the PC issue, but if i remember correctly on the box they doesn't claim pc compatibility,so let's say it's not their fault but it's a problem anyway...

Greatest arcade stick money can buy, well, from Amazon : )
Super class quality and design to match, a must for any SF4/SSF4 fans out there!! The components alone will set you back around £60!!
