First introduced to SAC by my brother who is trapped in a music world between the years of 1964 and 1968. If he'd been born in 1948 he would have been in his element. This album reflects the ultimate psychedelic sound. Starting with the fantastic 'Incense & Peppermints', with its distinctive hypnotic melody line, pure 60's instrument sounds, clever lyrics, it sends you into a trance, in fact the whole album is full of songs and music that has a dream-like quality not quite of this earth. But even those not committed to Psychedelic, would enjoy this album as the songs do not stray too far off the beaten track, and some of them are great pop songs! Also I find it hard to resist dancing, when listening to most songs on this album, songs such as 'Sit With The Guru', 'Tomorrow', 'Love Me Again'. 'Rainy Day Mushroom Pillow', is just beautiful, with its haunting, hypnotic organ sounds and guitar effects, again create a dream-like state of mind. To sum it up it's an exciting album that you will never tire of. Even Madonna quoted 'Incense & Peppermints' as one of her favourite songs, it got number 1 in America in 1967. If you are 60's pop fan, or even if you are open-minded in your musical tastes, you will not be disappointed with this purchase.
