The film makes a pilgrimage back to the Strat's birthplace in California and traces creator LEO FENDER's life and work. Unique interviews with Strat godfathers and legends HANK MARVIN and DICK DALE who really pioneered the classic Stratocaster sound. Includes a visit to the G&L factory and interviews with George Fullerton and Fred Stuart to see how the instrument was made. Two bonus chapters.

There are many performance and tutorial DVDs around about the Stratocaster... but this is a rockumentary about the guitar and its maker. The Stratocaster Legend begins in California where this film makes a pilgrimage back to the Strat's birth place in Orange County to trace the roots of one remarkable guitar.This one-hour rockumentary celebrates 50 years of Leo Fender's famous rock icon.DICK DALE, King of the surf guitarists and father of heavy metal, still performs with "The Beast", the Strat Leo gave him in the late '50s. He demonstrates at his high-desert ranch why the Strat is for Rock 'n Roll. In the UK, HANK MARVIN owed his sound to this versatile Guitar, the like of which had never been seen in the UK until Cliff bought him one in the summer of 1959. Hank takes time out from The Shadows' final tour to give credit to the red Strat. The Fender Stratocaster has been voted by guitarists as the world's greatest electric guitar... the DVD is a great watch.

Amazon were fantastic and easy to deal with,got my dvd even sooner than i expected.Would have no hesitation in dealing with them again.The dvd was great to watch with the interviews with Hank Marvin etc and the history of the Strat is amazing!Tony
