One for the fall nights 30 Oct. 2012
By Fairguy - Published on
Strapped is a psychedelic-style, primarily laid back experience interlaced with energetic tracks.

If you follow bands like Film School, Black Angels, Pinback, the Coral, this one should be down your lane. In fact on some of the tracks they sound very much like the Coral.

Standout tracks are (2) Second Look, (6) Chinatown, (9) Everything I know, (11) Bound to Fall.

I'm surprised to be the first reviewer of this album since I think it's really very good.
Great Band - Watch Out 9 Feb. 2013

Format: Audio CD
Loved their debut, this one is more conventional but proves the band is maturing. Watch out this band is set for a break out. All it needs is a new name.

The Soft Pack Slump 11 Nov. 2012
By Howie Lord - Published on
Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase
The follow-up to 2010's self titled album fall very short of my expectaions for the SoCal band. I was expecting more of the upbeat nervous angst and aggression the previous release but what I got was a watered-down mid-90's REM cover band playing hotel dives and warming up for some Killers cover band. I'm not sure what these guys where thinking when they sent this one in to be pressed and released. Maybe they were attempting another direction all together, but please try that on later releases when you have developed a strong fan base. In my opinion it is way to early in your musical lifespan to shift gears and try to go pop radio friendly. Perhaps I'm being a little harsh but I bought the album purely based on what I liked about the earlier release, but from the outset my disappointment grew and honestly, I could not sit through the final two tracks. Thumbs down, fellas!! Better luck next time.
