Product Description

These are a great alternative to normal straps. They are very comfortable and are ideal if you are picking up and putting down your instrument often as you are not lifting your strap over your head all the time or having to remove the strap. Ideal for recording, songwriting, and for when you are just chilling out. Also useful for people who gig with more than one instrument and need to swap them quickly between songs.

This little device works very well, but there are two downsides to be aware of ...

(1) If the internal bracing of your guitar comes really close to the edge of the soundhole where the clip has to loop over, the clip doesn't have a lot of wood to hold onto and the attachment can feel a little insecure. There might be a risk of it slipping off if you move around a lot whilst playing.

(2) The strap which fits around the back of your neck can become REALLY scratchy and uncomfortable. To get round this, tuck it inside your shirt collar if you have one. You can also try flipping it over, but that can also irritate after awhile.

This product does its job, but is a bit rough and ready strap wise. Also, with my Ukulele, I have to move a string to get the hook in the sound hole. Still, it was a good price and I am sure a home made one would not be better. I plan to put a sleeve where the strap goes round my neck. Also, might have to make the hook thinner. The adjustment of the cord was fine.

I'm very worried about damaging my ukulele by attaching this strap to the edge of the soundhole. There has to be a way of securing the strap without damaging the instrument - perhaps a piece of felt padding between the plastic strap-hook and the back of the uke...?

As with anything this cheap, you do get what you pay for, but I'm not about to condemn this strap before I've experimented with different methods of attachment. Maybe those who are so far dissatisfied might do the same before throwing their straps away. We love our ukes!

Apparently this strap runs under the guitar and then clipped in the soundhole. I wouldn't use this as a sound board is very fragile.

It does the job, but!.... 22 Jun 2012

I was really looking forward to using this strap. But, when I got it, and attached it to my baritone ukulele, it
just felt like it was going to fall off the strap.

Look, this is an okay strap, but its just not for me.
