Great way to pass the time away!! 2 Nov 2010
By G. Sanders - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
All i remember of this book and the following in the series was that it was a great read for a summer as a teenager i slipped away into a fantastic world where the family fought vilians and monsters all over the galaxy.Maybe not for high brow people but for someone that just likes to read sci-fi and ikes to have a good time this whole series will enthrall you....btw EE Doc Smith did not write this as the previous review states..It was written as were all but some of the first book by Stephen Goldin based on the work by E E Doc Smith

Wish it was available on Audiobook which i have found it is not =(

I am gomng to hunt the books down though and re read them when i have some time off work =)

Short, fast-paced and boring 7 Jan 2008
By Daniel Wild - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
From the writing, contrived incidents and wooden characters one would suspect this was written for teenagers. But the setting, on a moon of vice called Vesa, belies this. Jules and Yvette are sent to Vesa to investigate an underground series of kidnappings - apparently 30 people go missing a day but the compromised authorities have let this happen for 20 years!

Every character cliche is unleashed here and Jules and Yvette get out of their scrapes with their usual bluster, kung fu and bravado. Doc Smith has missed a good opportunity to create a melange of races and colourful people by instead opting for the 'brawn always wins' scenario. Avoid, despite the pretty cover art.
