Ryan Hunter is a thirty year old man who has relocated to London from his home city of Cardiff where he currently works for a large software company.
He is a conceited, self centred man who surrounds himself with equally supercilious friends.
He believes that he has everything in life, a high earning job, an exclusive apartment, flash car and women at his feet until one day his life dramatically changes.
He awakes in a neglected bed sit next to a beutiful young woman who believes him to be somebody named Steve.
Rewind to the previous day when strange occurences begin to happen to him, firstly with the appearance of a strange man that would once haunt him as a child in his nightmares.
Followed by an unexplained knife wound upon his person, on his return from a work he finds himself drawn to a dilapidated council estate.
He doesn't know what brought him to the estate although it does feel familiar to him, on his arrival to the estate he is shocked to discover that the residents of the estate believe him to be a man named Steve.
After meeting Steve's best friend Mark he discovers that the elusive Steve shares the same birthday as himself.
Wrongly believing the mysterious Steve to be his long lost twin brother he later discovers that both he and Steve were born to different parents although they share the same likeness and date of birth.
Which leads Ryan to a frightening path of self discovery as he desperately searches for the mysterious Steve hoping to end his horrific ordeal.
During the journey Ryan experiences violent unexplained outbursts.
Enlisting the help of University Professor John Vincent he hopes to discover the source of his on going nightmare, not being prepared for what he is about to discover.
And what is the connection of the mysterious man from the childhood nightmares Bryan Willard to Ryan and Steve?

5.0 out of 5 stars Violent and original. 25 Mar. 2013
The author of this book is deranged, but in a good way. It's confusing, deliberately so, and it never lets you get too comfortable with the plot; just when you think you've got a handle on it, it pulls the rug from under you and heads off in a different direction, especially towards the end. Different from the norm, if your looking for a dark, challenging book give it a go. Violent and original.

This book is very confusing, also numerous spelling errors didn't help, a plot that with some work would be good

This book is very cleverly written and unputdownable. There is so many twists in this tale and all becomes clear in the end. I thoroughly recommend this book.

Loved it! Good thriller. Page turner for sure. Kept me guessing to the end. Had grammar and punctuation errors, but kept me relentlessly enthralled.
