stranger in my grave 11 Mar. 2011
By Laney G. - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
Enjoyed tremendously--I am part of a mystery book club at borders once a month in Henderson, NV. Characters were fascinating, ending was very surprising, theme of racial prejudice was well presented.
I am a retired librarian sitting on the other side of the fence now.

Much better than Millar's later novels 25 Jan. 2015
By C. Mathieu - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
They certainly knew how to write a good thriller way back in the 1940's to 1960's!
Many years ago I read everything from Canadian thriller author Margaret Millar and her author husband Ross MacDonald.
Her last 5 or so novels were not as suspenseful, but this one is.
Also it reminded me of the Carroll Baker & George Maharis film "Sylvia". Similar plot.

My recommendation: try also "The Fiend" by Millar.
