An excellent "British" comic, with writing to die for. It may be drawn in black and white, but the care that goes into each frame is evident. The characters and settings may seem everyday, even mundane, but behind it all is a wierdness that evokes the "Prisoner" series from the sixties, and the X-files from the nineties, with references to masonic ceremonies, shamanism, UFOs, and much more besides.
Essentially, it is a story about a chap who is looking to head off to the West Country for a few days, and ends up finding he cannot leave (quite literally). It is the best comic I have ever read, it is just a shame that we have to wait so long for each one(it is a one man labour of love, but well worth it) - visit his website for more info or to sign up for the single issues every 9 months or so.
Well worth getting even if you are not normally a comic fan, and essential if you are.
