Sounds Great 16 Aug. 2000
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
The Taters continue their successful sound of Voxbox by using the influence of greats like Roy Orbison and Buddy Holly and combining it with their own sound. And there are very few who can pull off anything close to Orbison's singing, but it works here, That is probably because it used as a major influence and not an attempt to imitate. The songs are good with about 5 songs being exceptional and that justifies the 5 star rating. If you liked Voxbox, this one is very similar.
HELP! 9 Oct. 2002
By Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
These tunes are infectious and there seems to be no cure! (Who wants one anyway? Not me!)
All I know is that I put on their music, and suddenly I discover that I'm smiling from ear to ear.
They are great musicians whose sound is pure and honest. They can REALLY sing!
There are some obvious influences (Beatles, Roy Orbison, Ricky Nelson, Buddy Holly, Elvis ...), but somehow they manage to sound completely new and fresh.
They are very special. Buy this CD (as well as their previous release, "Vox Box"), If you've got good taste, you WON'T be disappointed.
