Product Description

Don't miss this final story in the wildly popular and much loved paranormal romance series Stormy Weather. New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author Selena Blake has done it again!

The wait is over.
Questions will be answered.
And one last storm will threaten Deveraux Pack.

Kendall Carver knows one thing for sure - security doesn't last. Injured and on the run, a sinfully handsome stranger saves her life.

Cajun werewolf Burke Devereux learned his lesson 200 years ago. No humans, ever. No looking, no touching, no kissing and certainly no making love. Eager to escape his Pack's matchmaking attempts he heads for his cabin. But nothing could have prepared him for the raging blizzard or the beautiful woman begging for his help.

Burke's always prided himself on his self control but as things get cozy, desire sparks and old secrets are brought to light. How far will he go to protect the woman in his bed?

Warning: Being stranded with a Cajun werewolf will be spicy and sweet. We recommend making a snow angel to cool off.

STRANDED WITH A CAJUN WEREWOLF is also available in these anthologies - Stormy Weather 5-in-1 and the Stormy Weather Collectors' Edition

EXCERPT

Tugging on his thick Northface coat Burke headed down the road toward the other car once again questioning his decision to try to beat the storm.

The collision had killed the engine, mangling what he could see of the front end.

Ah hell.

A blonde lay hunched over the steering wheel, not moving. Blood soaked the back of her grey sweatshirt. He knocked on the window and wished he'd tugged on his gloves. The woman didn't move. He peered into the car, looking for a phone, and saw a large purse wedged between her chest and the steering wheel.

He tested the handle of her door. Locked. Figured. The small window behind the driver's seat was shattered, half the glass missing. He reached through the gaping hole and flipped the lock.

Wrenching the door open he checked the pulse at her throat. Still thumping. He braced both hands around her neck and the base of her skull and then, as gently as he could, settled her back in her seat and took stock of her injuries.

And arrestingly adorable features. She looked like an angel, a cherub, with glossy pink lips. With a bloody gash across her forehead and -- was that a pink streak in her hair? He leaned closer. And a thick purple stripe too.

A fierce wind howled over head, making the trees sway and groan. She gave a soft moan, and then, as if she'd awoken, her body went rigid.

"You're okay, petit. Just relax. Where do you hurt?"

Stunning aqua blue eyes met his for an instant before she closed them again, wincing. The fear he'd glimpsed there shocked him. "Please," she said, her voice hoarse and barely a whisper. He leaned toward her to hear over the roar of the elements. "Don't let...him...take me."

4.0 out of 5 stars A confusingly good read 9 Nov 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I thought this was heading for a 'same old, same old' style of Werewolf story but despite problems with continuity and things that appear and just had to be accepted as 'just appearing', plus the most implausable vampire I have ever encountered,I found this Kindle book to be an entertaining and enjoyable read. Well worth the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great ending to a great series! 26 Aug 2011
By RWhitten - Published on Amazon.com

So this is the last of the Cajun werewolf series :( But let me tell you I loved it!!
It follows Burke, the last of the Deveraux pack to find a mate. The story starts out with Burke escaping the "mate hunt" his pack seems to be on, but runs into a very interesting and injured woman, Kendall Carver. Because he's a gentleman, Burke of course helps her out (even though he has a rule about humans) but Kendall has some secrets of her own.
Ms Blake found a great way to bring all the Deverauxes back at the end to provide some good closer to the series & give fans an ending we can all enjoy. This is not one of the more racey books in the series like Bitten or Seduced, but it still leaves you steamy!! Great way to end the series!! Thanks Selena!!

2.0 out of 5 stars not much of a story 2 Oct 2011

Stuff happens at the start of the book and stuff happens a few chapters before the end, but the rest has as much action or interest as paint drying. Maybe if the story had been shortened up considerably, it would have been better. The scenes are all drawn out until the story has no momentum. I can see why the heroine asks the hero if he is gay. He keeps tentatively coming on to her and then backing off and acting like he never showed any interest in between. I like plenty of romantic tension that builds quite a bit before the first kiss even, but it has to be tension, not boredom. I liked the female main character, but the guy character seemed dull. I couldn't maintain interest in his heartburn about his last serious girlfriend. Then after the climax of the story, there's this get together of all the couples from the other books in the series that went on way too long. This author needs to work on plotting and characterization I think. It would have been better if there was more detail about the two characters' backstories. At least this story was only 99 cents. If the story had been edited and pared down, it might have made a good short story.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cajun wolves rock! 16 Oct 2011
By Paranmormal Reader - Published on Amazon.com

It was great. Ms Blake has done it again. Her Cajun wolves rock!
This was a great romantic read and I read it in only a few hours. It was not as sizzling as the rest of the series, but provided a good closer to the series. Fans of Selena's Cajun Werewolf series will not be disappointed.
5.0 out of 5 stars Letting go and letting love happen 24 May 2014
By RinnyRainwind - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
This book deals with letting go of the past. Not judging a book by its cover and letting love in. This was Burke and Kendall's story. She's running from a horrible situation and he's never let what one woman did to him centuries ago leave his heart. Plus we finally got an answer about the two human mates and the question of immortality. A must read in this great series.
3.0 out of 5 stars Decent short read 12 April 2014
By Readers Confession - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Stranded with a Cajun Werewolf is the 5th book in the Stormy Weather series but it can be read as a stand alone book. The great thing about this one, if you want to try it out it’s short and sweet. It’s about 100 pages or so, just enough to know if you’d like this series or not.

What I love about these books is the Cajun men. :-) Yes, I love those accents, so damned sexy.

The only problem I had with this one is the internal monologue with the hero and heroine. They both had this. Obviously there will always be internal monologue but my problem is when they argue with themselves. That’s kind of annoying.

Overall though, I thought the book was a good quick read and I’d definitely read more.
