Good sturdy addition to your icing equipment - gives a much better finish than you can get with just your palm. Once you have used one of these you'll wonder how you ever did without one and it should last for years!

I bought this smoother as my last attempt to apply sugarpaste onto a cake didn't work out quite as well as planned! However, I made a cake this weekend and the smoother made it so easy to apply the sugarpaste. It made the tops and sides smooth...sticking well to the buttercream. Once I had trimmed off the excess sugarpaste it also tidied up the bottom of the cake (where it meets the board) by smoothing any rough edges in on itself.
Although I appreciate that I need to refine my skills slightly (as I still had a crease on top of my cake) it is easy to use even for a beginner like me. A recommended buy for all who enjoy creating an eye pleasing cake :)

very handy if you decorate alot of cakes, couldnt recomend enough but it takes awhile to get used to the knack of doing it.

Promptly delivered, does exactly what it was described as - it is a straight edge icing polisher/ smoother. I've never used one before, so can not offer a comparison
