Quite an interesting read, especially listening to his approach to his work and its diversity. However, I was very disappointed there were so few scandals or shocking confessions as hinted at in the video that appears on this page! Just some stuff about drug taking. The way he goes on you think his life was all sex and drugs and rock and roll. I skipped the latter pages which are concerned with the production of his television series which didn't interest me at all. One word of warning, it clearly states "in my own words" - perhaps that should read "in me own words", well, he's very fond of three which begin with c,f and b respectively, so if you've young people around, don't leave it out on the coffee table. Worth a read though if you're a fan.

Although he's not of my generation, I've always been a fan of Danny Dyer. As a Londoner I can relate to his way of speaking and the circumstances in which he grew up. This book was recommended to me by my sister and I was not disappointed. The way it reads, you can just hear him saying the words, I would imagine he recorded the book and somebody else actually wrote the words - but you can tell that they are his words. There are so many funny passages and the language he uses is so real. Any true Londoner, football fan or people that don't mind a bit of effing and blinding will love this book. A true gem from this Diamond Geezer!

Danny, or malcolm Smith to use his real name, is a proper fridge freezer and it shows in the story of his life. Written in the same way he talks its a very authentic read and takes you on a journey as he's living it large.... the highs and the lows are all there. In fact the only thing i didn't like is the soppy bo***cks picture on the cover...He looks a right plum. ...Don't be a mug. ... Read this book if you love a bit of malcolm!

...it is written perfectly in Danny's own voice (not a trivial task). It's so straight forward and honest (or at least appears so) that I found it genuinely refreshing and insightful. He's not pretending to be anyone he's not and equally doesn't appear to be affecting any of his persona.

A great antidote to pretentiousness.

If you are a real fan of Danny Dyer..... this is a good book to read! It's an honest account of how he got to be where he is today. However, it's based more on his career as oppose to his personal life. I would of liked to have read more about his personal life. Overall a good book. Thanks Mr Dyer! @carolanneangel #lovedannydyer

I wouldn't ever admit to buying this book but it was an OK read. It does sum up the reason he has ended up in Eastenders because he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, nor is he a very good actor. That said he could have ended up a lot worse anmd been a mugger or a white van man
