This is a debut Album from YT but he is not a total newcomer, he's been chatting on sound systems for a long time and you can tell when listening to 'Straight Outta Britain'. With intros from Joe Lickshot (who used to do the intros for Jamaican sound systems when they still had 'live' djs), rhythms, songs and lyrics that feature most urban music genres YT has the bases covered.

The opening track 'Real Life' is YT in a reality style over the thumping 'Roots Tonic rhythm' from Swedish label Hi score. 'Mind' is a tribute to the veterans of the reggae music business and a warning to up and coming artists to 'Mind' what they talk about in their songs over a cut of the 'Shenk I Shenk' rhythm. Track 4 sees YT in combination with 'the messenger' Luciano for another strong conscious, reality song.

Next track 'Innit' is a slice of clever and comic 'English' DJing over an infectious uptempo dancehall rhythm; the chorus tells us that 'Innit' is the latest English catch phrase whilst wondering "why some people say innit every minute" (I hear you YT).

Up next is 'Special Delivery' a British style lovers rock combination with Patchino, it's not my cup of tea but shows that YT has the utmost respect for the UK reggae industry that invented 'Lovers Rock' in the late 70s and early 80s.

The best track on the album and the one that brought YT to reggae fans attention is the storming 'Wicked Act'. This song tells of the 7/7 bombings in London and is a modern day UK reggae anthem riding a heavy weight roots rhythm with a strong topical message.

'Real Girl' is a message for the ladies and tells of how YT wants a "natural girl" rather than a "plastic barbie doll" again topical but humorous.

The next few tracks feature drum & bass and hip hop style beats that show YTs versatility but its straight dancehall and reggae were he really excels and the album gets back on track with 'England Story' which is a counteraction to the massive hit from Baby Cham, 'Ghetto Story'. In his version YT pays tribute to the UK sound systems and DJs that paved the way for him (many of them are still going strong) and he laments the loss of the UK reggae industry but notes "we need to bring back those vibes", this one is another UK reggae anthem.

The last track finds YT riding a beat box beat from the veteran DJ Horseman called 'Ain't No Stopping' which is an appropriate way to sign off as on this evidence there 'Ain'No Stopping YT'.
