I only found out about this album through random searches - what a discovery! Obviously, some tunes are better than others, but this is a very strong album and I couldn't disagree more with the reviewer who dislikes the Kanye West collaboration - I think it is a stroke of genius, making this the wonderful little hybrid that it is. Love it.

Got this on download on the strength of the first two singles.Not really quite what I expected as Mr Hudson has used the wrong producer in my opinion.Why Kanye West?? it's just filled the album full of a limp R&B sound with a few cheap synth sounds thrown in for good measure.Although the lyrics are really good and his voice is very strong,it's just not done it for me I'm afraid.

I bought this album based on just one song: Super nova. My favourite songs are super nova, white lies, knew we were trouble, straight no chaser, everything is broken, learning to live, and there will be tears. however i was a little disappointed with some of the others. Instant messaging is just too slow and has no life to it compared to the other songs on the album. Lift Your Head and Time are very similar and the tune from the chorus's can even be mixed up together without noticing they are from different songs, and i reckon he just couldn't think of any more tunes, or wanted to just hurry up and finish the album.(but i have to admit, they're still good songs.)However i was very disappointed in Stiff Upper Lip, Anyone But Him, and Central Park. I admit i loved the tunes, but was really annoyed by the fact with the constant use of the "f" word. Don't know what possessed him to use it so much, maybe the influence of Mr.Kanye West? But i just found it irritating because i dont like listening to swearing in my music. Apart from that, liked the album. Worth a listen.
