Mother, teacher, wanton she-demon

Welcome to my life. I’m Lilith Straight, Hell’s newest employee. Although I’m getting pretty good at letting the succubus inside me take over, life in Hell is never easy. Miss Spry is up to her old tricks. She promised to let me save my daughter from my fate, but only if I can tempt my next client.

That’s how I end up horns-to-halo with a guardian angel determined to rescue my next victim. To make matters worse, William Benedict, the hottest demon in Hell, is trying to undermine my mission with some temptations of his own…

Nothing is ever what you expect in Hell, but really I should have known that already!

Praise for Michelle Scott

'I would definitely recommend Straight to Hell to anyone who’s looking for a relatively quick read – something fast paced, something funny with a bit of a twist and some paranormal elements.' - Books, Biscuits and Tea on Straight to Hell

'There were so many twists in the plot that I didn't see coming, that the novel definitely kept me on my toes, and it kept moving at such a pace that there wasn't a single point in the book where I was bored in the slightest.' - Pen to Paper on Straight to Hell

'one of those books that you want to spend some time thinking about after you are done reading, you want to think about what you would have done in Lilith's shoes, and let me tell you she has so seriously difficult to walk in. This is one of those books where you want to get together with a couple of your girlfriends afterward and talk about the book at length.' - Urban Fantasy Reviews on Straight to Hell

'loved the humor in this book and actually caught myself laughing out loud a few times while getting strange looks from my family.' - Shut Up & Read on Straight to Heaven

More About the Author

Maybe it's because of my Halloween birthday, but I've always been attracted to scary stories. On the other hand, I love romances as well. Once I discovered that these two genres existed side-by-side in urban fantasy novels, I was in heaven! Urban fantasy is like chocolate and peanut butter: a perfect, to-die-for combination that I can never get enough of.

I've been writing since childhood, but earned my bachelor's degree in psychology and my master's in English literature. When I'm not writing, I'm a straight-laced English teacher at a two-year college in Detroit. I've been married to Mr. Right for over twenty-five years. I also have three teenaged children: a boy and two girls, all of whom have threatened to never speak to me again if I turn them into characters and put them into my books.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lilith Straight versus the angels 23 May 2012
By Curiosity Killed The Bookworm TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Kindle Edition
Following on from Straight to Hell, Lilith is starting to get to grips with her job as seductress. When she's assigned to Craig to convince him to mail a mysterious package, she is thwarted by a stranger with bright blue eyes. She hopes Miss Spry doesn't punish her for her failure, she's a tough boss to work for after all, but there is something special about this case and Lilith is sent back into the field. Soon she learns that she's got a battle on her hands, the angels are involved and they don't want to lose this soul.

I found Straight to Heaven the better of the two Lilith Straight books so far. There was more of a structured plot and I got drawn into the fight between good and evil without knowing which side I wanted to win. Lilith is also starting to learn about her demonic powers a bit more and isn't quite so useless, though she is still far from perfect!

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally unique 2 July 2014
By Robyn K
Format:Kindle Edition
“Straight to heaven” is the follow-up book to” Straight to Hell” and although, Straight to heaven can be read as a stand alone because it does provide the necessary information, I suggest you do read the first one because you would be missing out on a lot of fun.

I found “Straight to hell” a totally unique. It defies genre labelling because it could be considered chick-lit, paranormal and urban fantasy all mixed into one great package. Lillith has grown a bit since the last book and is more confident in her abilities. She is still charmingly flawed and just as loveable.

This book has it all- incubus, succubus, angels, demons, heaven, hell and the eternal fight between good and evil; not to mention a sassy kick ass heroine. There are plenty of laugh out loud moments and plenty of action. This is a series that is not to be missed. Can someone please make this into a film or a television show?

This series is now a firm favourite of mine and I highly recommend to anyone who like fiction with some cheeky wee devils.

3.0 out of 5 stars Unique and fun 28 Jun 2014
Format:Kindle Edition
Straight to Heaven is an enjoyable sequel, and a great little romp of a story overall. To me, it's interesting reading about a female character who actually has a child, and has this much devotion to said child. Usually in these kinds of books there is no child, or there is and the child's kind of forgotten about and shoved to the back of the story, which makes this book unique in one way of many.

The author has created a world that you can sink in to, but when you're reading the book and in the world, you're at the mercy of the author. If she wants to make you laugh, you laugh, if she wants to make you cry, you cry. Scott writes so incredibly that when Lilith is feeling one way, you can pretty much feel the same, or feel for her. I found myself tensely reading some scenes, the tension oozing off the page, fumbling in my haste to switch the page, and that's the best kind of book really isn't it? When you feel the atmosphere in the story/book as you're reading.

The other thing that makes this one of the best books, and such a joy to read is that it's not all tense and such, this is one of the books that needs a hazard label. "DO NOT READ IN PUBLIC PLACES" otherwise you're going to look like a total loony when you're grinning stupidly at the book, or choking in your attempts to stop laughing out loud on a packed tube, which is always awkward. This book seriously makes you laugh out loud with it's hilarity, and there's no greater thing than a book that can make that happen!
