Storytellers (Storytellers Saga)Fallen Blood

This is the second book in the Storytellers Saga and it was just as amazing as the first one! The writer continues the story with the same professional writing as the first in the series. The descriptions are exceptionally well done. I really loved "Grendal" as well as the "Goo"! The list of names that are loved and enjoyed in this story is long for me because the writer does a great job in showing the characters as engaging and interesting to learn more about.

This series for me is definitely one that can be read over and over and still loved!

I stand by my review of the first book in that I can see this series making it to movie form while being well loved by all that see and read it. You won't be disappointed in buying this book!

I stumbled across this series while searching for arthurian stories and I am glad I did (though I really have no idea how the search engine brought up these books). The storyline is good and the character development works. As a new author, Martin Shorlow demonstrates ability to craft an easy-to-read story with the depth that triggers and inspires the imagination. I am anxious to learn how Brighton develops and the role he has in the next book. I am equally anxious to learn how Targ develops and if he regains his memory. And how will the relationship of our three heroes evolve? The only negative about this particular volume is the typographical errors and misused homonyms (e.g. "there" instead of "their" occurred at least twice) which distracted from reading the story, but not so much as to make me want to put the book down; however, enough to make me want to write this review. I hope to see the third book in the series soon, and I hope the editor does a much better job with the details.

After thoroughly enjoying the first book, I could not have been more disappointed with the sequel. It is the single most poorly written book I've read that wasn't brought to me by an eager high school student. The prose is absolutely over-the-top and I've never seen such a good argument in favor of qualified copy editors (I would highly recommend that the author both enroll in an English grammar course at the local university and hire a good copy editor).

The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because the plot was creative - a decent continuation of the first book. Too bad the writing interferes with the plot so much that it ruins such a great idea.
