Product Description

“The art of the storyteller is to weave images and characters into a pattern. As a dyslexic, Linda uses these skills which are associated with the working of the right side of the brain, to create short stories which are a pleasure to read.”
James Billett

'Better known for her self-help books and punchy novels such as ‘African Nights’, and 'Yes and pigs might fly', Linda has applied her talents to a collection of short stories. If you like your reading pithy, profound and written by a writer with a strong social conscience – then you will love this eclectic mix.' Bookopedia

Pick a tale and escape into the land of ‘The Story Tree’ either for a longer bedtime story or a five minute coffee break. These entertaining stories will have you avidly turning the pages, dying to know what happens – which is quite often not what you expect. I read them all at once and thoroughly enjoyed them. Whether you like spooky, mystical, humorous, crime, heart warming love stories or just something unusual, you will find it in this eclectic little collection. Eliza Jane Goes, author of two novels:, ‘Fusion’ and ‘The Cosmopolites’ available from: www.elizajanegoesahead.com

A fine collection of short stories by Linda Louisa Dell, impressive in their diversity – from the lyrical opener about the legend of two lost lovers, through a rich variety of differing and always intriguing themes written with depth and feeling; in turn moving, challenging, sometimes hauntingly sad, often humorous, and always entertainingly uplifting. Highly recommended. Robin Squire, whose reality novel: The Making Of A Britflick about the pitfalls and pratfalls of getting an independent film made in Britain is soon to be published by Tagman Press.

Page turning book! 20 April 2012
By Jet628
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I really enjoyed the varying lengths of the stories and the completely random subject matters. The shorter, punchier tales were my favourites. I just kept reading until I had finished and then wished there were more tales to enjoy.

Each branch is a gem 3 July 2011
Format:Paperback
Each branch of Linda Louisa Dell's Story Tree is a gem. Sometimes funny, sometimes unnerving, and often with an unexpected twist, this is a book that can be easily picked up and enjoyed whenever you want to relax with a good story. No matter what your taste, from the romantic to the downright scary, The Story Tree has something for everyone.
