As a seeker of spiritual meaning and self-knowledge, I have a library full of books I dearly love about philosophy, theology, mysticism, biblical history and psychology. Written by experts in their fields, most of these books are tough going for the average reader. Being a scholarly type, I have a high tolerance for this style of writing which has opened the door to ideas that have changed my life.
But this book! This Story of Q. written by a layperson with no formal theological credentials other than the most valuable one of all: a passion for truth! This amazing book! It takes on humanity's age-old question, "What is the meaning and purpose of my life?" and in compelling stories about four people, written in terms anyone can understand, lays the answer out as clear as can be for anyone who's interested. Although it's about the origins, flaws and symbolic meaning of Christianity, it contains perennial truths that underlie and transcend every religion. And as an added bonus, it's a page-turner! I've already bought seven copies (six for gifts) and will no doubt be buying more soon. If you're at all interested in this sort of thing, I'm telling you, you really need this book! This refreshing, groundbreaking book.
