This Sheriff Woody is a deluxe film replica. Modelled and scaled to match Andy’s favourite toy in the Toy Story movies, Woody has a soft rag doll body and is fully interactive. Talk to Woody and he’ll respond or pull Woody’s string to hear him say phrases from the movie. Sheriff Woody includes a display stand and hat. He requires 2 x AAA batteries (included) and is suitable for ages 4 years and up.

Arrived on time & in great condition.
I have always wanted a genuine Woody replica ever since the 1st Toy Story in 1995. I settled for less with the older models but when this guy came out, I had to get it. 15 years later I finally have the closest thing to the real Woody available. With only a handful of forgivable differences that may still bother collectors, like facial expression & joined fingers, this is still, by far, the best Woody around.
The pictures really do show the best of the details so there's no need to elaborate there, but it's weird to look back at the older models & see just how inaccurate they were.
The interactive mode is always a hoot when someone isn't expecting it. Unfortunately, he switches onto interactive mode every time you pull the string. You do have to pull his string again to switch him off interactive mode (instructions are a bit vague here). I thought this was a bit annoying, I was hoping he would have 2 separate modes like the Buzz figure.
There are cheaper versions of these around. Not the Toy Story Collection, but the Toy Story 3 line of toys. These versions look almost identical to the Collection series, they seem to be able to take more damage and only have a few features missing.
I would recommend that line for young kids & the Collection line for the collectors.
The figure itself seems quite strong. I have had mine for a month now & he has been knocked around a bit & is still in perfect shape. A common complaint about wear & tear is Woody's vest. The stitching in the vest can come loose if one is not careful when trying to get at the battery pack. If the kids are young it may be better have an adult do this. It's a very well crafted toy. It got delivered today (3th of August 2010)and I must say the packaging is amazing.
To open the box is a bit tricky and kind of a hassle but when you finally get Woody out of the box, you can see and feel the details of this collectible. The fabrics and the use of different materials used for the hat are great. His jeans really does feel like an actual jeans and the buttons on his vest have a similar feel to a pushpin. The quality of his articulation is fantastic.
The only minor thing about Woody is his support that comes with the box. It's very unstable.
Everyone who's a die-hard fan of Toy Story, should get this one asap.
(TIP: When opening the box, take a cutter and open the bottom of the box.)

this is a very good toy i love it just as much as my son it can be a standard toy with just a drawstring, or u can change to an interactive toy so your child can speak to woody and recieve a response. in all a very good purchase keeps them intertained for hours lol

Bought as a present for a 24th birthday as Toy Story was just his favourite childhood film...hes so much fun he talks back, and even tells you when your too loud...
Cant comment really on durabilty as it wont be pulled around by a child so he should stay in one piece!!

For some unknown reason, my 2 year old calls Woody, GeeGom. Both of my boys (4 and 2 years) love this toy and so we had to buy one each for a quiet life. It is beatifully made and the voice feature is good. We have seen one of the heads come off and this is a weak point. They do recieve some rough treatment, but I get the feeling that the toy is designed more as a collectors item to be displayed in the box. If the head stayed on, then it would be 5 stars without a doubt.

I was so excited to discover that thinkway toys have produced a line of toys that are the toy story exact film replicas! This toy will not disappoint, you really have an actual woody doll! He is so much like the film woody that you expect him to come alive too! Can't wait to collect them all. Also the packaging is fantastic too! A must have for pixar fans!!

I bought this toy to go with the Buzz Lightyear from the same collection. I thought it was very overpriced for what it is (a rag doll with a pull string) and was hoping for a few more features! Very disappointing considering the Buzz is a similar price and lot more fun!

This is a fantastic toy - how I imagine toys were in the 'olden days' - by that I mean it is wonderfully old fashioned in style. It is exactly like Woody from the film and so brought much joy to my four year old who is entranced by the Toy Story films. He even wants to get a marker pen and write his name on the boot like Andy did. I love the way Woody can talk back and if you raise your voice he says things like "hey pipe down, no need to be so loud". I'd say this was worth every penny as its an extremely well made toy. I even find myself playing with it! Just make sure you don't lose the hat as it doesn't stay on that well....

I love it i love it!!!
My son just turned 2 and he loves Toy story so we bought him woody and Buzz. Woody is basically indestructible which is great! And easy to use.
