A treat to see what the 'Aldwych Farces' were like. Without the audience reaction a lot must be lost, but thank goodness that excellent actor/director/racehorse trainer Tom Walls made this film of 'Stormy Weather' to give some idea of why they were so popular in the 'thirties'.
Entertaining, funny and charming.

Brilliant - more Aldwych farces please 25 Aug 2010

I first saw one of these by accident about 20 years ago when I was younger! They are great and I still watch them. I taped as many as I could off of the television. Hopefully they will bring out more on dvd. They are innocent, harmless, entertaining and funny with characature like characters. Obviously the other person who thought they were sexist, ageist and every other 'ist' doesnt have a sense of humour and has limited tastes.
