Wayne is a truly gifted writer. He and George Angus are the reason I now own a Kindle...just so I can drop these guys in my purse and bring 'em along with me everywhere. Engaging, exciting, interesting...there aren't enough adjectives in the English language to describe the dazzling array of stories Wayne has included in this collection from Long Short Stories. I can't wait to read the next book!

These stories cover such a wide range of the human condition! Wayne Long has a great talent for involving the reader from the stories beginning to it's end. His tales are quite poetic, in that so much is said, using so few words. I remember reading Goethe's "Faust" and feeling the same way.
Wayne's short stories are not time consuming, but are a very satisfying read. If the ironies of the human condition speak to you, I'm sure you will enjoy "Stories from the Edge".

In this collection of enticing short stories, author Wayne Long pulls you into his eclectic world. Prepare yourself. You will be fully expecting one outcome and Wayne will completely blow you away with something you didn't see coming. The writing style is very real and not pretentious at all. Conversational is the word that comes to mind.
Wayne has proven himself to be a true master of this genre. Writing good short stories is not easy, yet Wayne appears to make it so. While reading these stories that are so completely different from each other, I had to wonder how deep the recesses are, how deep is the well. I have subscribed to his LongShortStories and "prolific" just barely scratches the surface in terms of his ability to write and put forth stories of substance.
When I finished this collection I found myself thumbing through the stories once again. Reliving them once again.
