I purchased this for my father who suffers from Alzheimer's, and has been the victim of doorstep money extortion.
The negative points first :
The first thing you should know is that this system is not truly wireless; it requires power to the camera.
Also, unless you have a socket within a couple of feet of where you wish to position the camera you will have to extend the (low voltage) cable; I wasn't afraid to do this but it may put some people off.
Positive points :
I contacted Storage Solutions for clarification on the above points before purchase and they answered quickly and were very helpful.
The unit comes well packaged.
The captured footage is pretty good, faces are easily identifiable and come with sound.
Once set up, it is very easy to use, when I visit my father I simply swap an empty SD card over with the one that has been recorded on, and view it later on, time and date of detection are also recorded.
It responds to movement and so far (after 2 weeks of use) there have been very few false triggers.
You can choose the length of clip recorded up to 10 seconds maximum, I would have liked the option to choose longer than this, but if motion continues to be detected, a new clip will be recorded.
I now know that the cleaner / carers who visit my father usually only stay for 40 minutes instead of the full hour they are paid for...
Overall this unit does what I wanted at a reasonable price, my only negative points are concerned with the initial set up.
I would have awarded 4.5 Stars if I could, but it's not quite a 5 Star.

To connect the 12volt power supply to the camera you will have to extend the cable,its only about 4ft long.
The high quality video recording and play back are very poor. My front lawn is white and all the bushes are all purple, people I know are not easy to recognise.
The motion detector can be set to cover the full frame, a quarter or a sixteenth of the frame but it still detects movement in the full frame no matter how it is set up

The image quality is quite poor, even when set to so-called high quality and the instructions, particularly the parts concerning the installation could be much better. The power leads are very short so I had to provide additional sockets near to where the equipment is located. Overall, it's better than no CCTV at all, but only just.
