Book Description

This series is a selection of incidents that occurred during the 25 years I was associated with ships and shipping. As well as that there are some other interesting facts and details about nautical and maritime matters

'Worse things happen at sea' was a comment I often heard growing up. So I went to sea to find out.

This took me back to my own days at sea. I could empathise so much with Ian Whyte. His story telling skills kept me engaged throughout. Wish it was longer

Enjoyable reading but not enough for the normal reader. Would have liked more on Tank cleaning, dipping tanks, heating oil in tanks.

2.0 out of 5 stars You'd have to be a sailor to enjoy 2 Dec. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I think my expectations were of a book that would be quite adventurous but I found it a bit boring and just a record of someones day to day experiences.

If you were a sailor then it might be of more interest, but i didnt finish it.
