5.0 out of 5 stars Buy it if you want great instruction 23 April 2013

What can I say about this book and the author? Well Jason Osipa is a fantastic artist with a real in depth knowledge of his craft. Anyone who wants to find out about the ways in which to achieve facial animation rigging, modelling and animation should have this book. It covers concepts you probably have not thought of and he implements it in a easy to follow way. The examples and scripts are excellent and the whole reading of the text was fun to do. Technical, but not overbearing.

That is all you need to know. Buy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid approach to facial animation 27 Aug 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
The author has obviously worked successfully in facial animation and rigging for quite a while and has kind of created his own approach to facial and lip sync animation. He says some insightful things and there's lots of good information in the book, but it is based on his techniques. If you are looking for a more standard approach perhaps look elsewhere. That said it's well worth a read and it certainly won't hurt to learn the techniques explained in the book.
