I've never none a film to of have such bad reviews and comments from the critics but I watched it purely because Estelle Getty stared in it, I think she's an absolute inspirational actress and a credit to the USA acting industry (R.I.P Estelle Getty your a Golden person). Anyway I found this film to be extremely funny and I thought that there was nothing wrong or disappointing with this film, the storyline was entertaining and I thought the comedy between Sylvester Stallone and Estelle Getty was so natural. Stop or my mom will shoot is in my top ten favourite films, I'm going to have to stop watching this a lot otherwise my DVD copy will get worn out.

I got this film a while a go for the sheer fact that the comedy legend Estelle Getty was in it in this film she plays a sweet and down to earth mother who comes to stay with her son played by Sylvester Stallone but ends up interfering not just with his love life but with is police work buying him a gun, this film is so funny mostly due to Estelle, Sylvester doesn't really stand out in this film,this funny film is so looked over,if you ever feel miserable watch this take advantage of the ridicules price

it's not a typical stallone movie, he's a cop so it's close to being stereotyped, however it's just ridiculous!
to be perfectly honest i did know this before i bought it, my brother and i used to torture each other with this movie, so i bought it as a present.
it's very slapstick but i'm not actually sure that was the intention. the basic story is; Joe (stallone) a cop. is visited by his mother, who interferes in his life, including his job, after she accidentally witnesses a crime, she tries to help her son catch the criminal and land him a promotion. - not really very life like, and the mom is the star of the movie.
An action film with sylvester stallone, and he is not the biggest hero in it, somethings not right there!

Great title from the late 1980's
Good film, one of Stallones more down to earth roles, I would recommend this to anyone who likes action comedy.

Very good
I like Sylvester Stallone, especially in Oscar, but this one is very good too. Very entertaining all the way through.

Stallone at his cheesy best!
I love Sylvester Stallone in all his films but this one is great. Rambo and his mum! One of the most funniest lines ever spoken in a film is in this film (Although not from Sly). Read more
