I admit it, I love this stuff! Time travel with yummy highlanders? I'm in! Now, there are stories in this specific genre that I like, and some that I love. I can deal with the 'rugged-tough' heroine, but lately I've read so many books where the woman is almost like the man :( I appreciate strong and independent women, because I am one, but when I read a romance of any kind I really don't like the woman more manly than the alpha male. Abbie was perfect! She was strong, fiesty, and still very much a woman. Now let's get to yummy Gavin! Yeah, he's all that. He's the exact type that you hope to fall in the arms of if you ever find yourself spiraling through time. The story moved quickly, another thing that I love, because it locks you in and forces you to keep reading. The Fae hag is mean, Gavin is yumalicious, and Abbie is lucky...it's just that simple.
There was a bit of jumping from past to present tense, so I couldn't go with five stars, but it's nothing that would distract from the story itself. In fact, some readers may not notice it at all. But, I at least wanted to offer a reason to the author for four stars. Well done, I look forward to much more from this author!
