Stones of Tears is the second in the Sword of Truth Series and I have read the book twice already. The author has created characters you really care about and you want to win through. The story is well thought out and fast paced with barely a pause between adventures. The imagination of Terry Goodkind leaves you breathless and gasping for more. Stones of Tears is a flowing story following the main characters, Richard, the Seeker of Truth and newly realised wizard, and his love Kahlan, the Mother Confessor, go through trials and tribulations in their quest to defeat the evil of Darken Rahl and his master. Stone of Tears has some of the creatures and characters you will find in other fantasy books, a dragon, wizards but several morenever heard of before. Each hero and villain is unique in themselves. The story is overflowing with magic and adventure and creates a story with is a must for fantasy readers old and young alike.

My only regret with the Goodkind books is that I found them when I was aged 73 years, and then only because I had watched The Legend of The Seeker on TV. Masterful, imaginative plots that generate surprise after surprise and a whole new civilization unfolds before your eyes. Not Tolkien, but extremely enjoyable!!! I have 12 more books to go. Hope I live that long!!!!

I used to think nothing could be better than Lord Of The Rings until I picked up the Sword of Truth series. Once you pick up these books you will be lost for days in Richard and Kahlan's world. Mr Goodkind's writing is simply amazing he can introduce new characters with ease making you feel as though you have been reading about them for ages when in actual fact you have only read two pages about them and then other times he will leave you sweating and unable to put the book down. This is such a long book but make no mistake you will hang on to every word! . If you only buy one Fantasy book make sure you buy this one it's buy far and away the best out there.

Grabs you by the throat from the first page and never lets go.
Fantastic book ! Usually follow up books fail to live up to their predecessors but not only does this live up, it surpasses the wizards first rule.

Absorbing and hard to put down
Well written enjoyable read for fantasy readers. Authors like Terry Goodkind are a long way apart from Kindle authors. I will be reading the the rest of the series.

Great book shame about the kindle edition
I love this book (and the rest of the series) however, this kindle edition has some, quite awful, spelling and grammar mistakes which I was incredibly sad to see.
