5.0 out of 5 stars easy flowing storyline 26 Jun 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
When I bought this book, I admit I was intrigued. How many times have you ever seen a statue and just felt...OH! I have to have that but not really understanding why you felt so drawn to it? Or find yourself sitting in a garden somewhere where you felt comfortable with the statues surrounding you and wondering what they would say if they could talk?

I absolutely love the way the writer added in the Gods. What a unique twist! And two men falling in love with one woman while playing a game; priceless!

The writing style is wonderful. The plot is unique. Tessa's writing style is all her own. She has a strong character base, and to be honest I had a difficult time myself siding for which brother I wanted to win.

Hats off to you, Tessa! You have created a wonderful storyline. I look forward to reading more of your books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic read! 1 Jun 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
We meet a lonely lady named Stella. When she spots a spectacular statue of a man named, Mercury, she knows she has to have him. But he's way too expensive, so she just buys a bird bath for her garden. When the delivery comes, she's blown away when she finds out the hunky cashier named Justin bought the statue for her.

Stella visits Mercury every day in her garden at the special spot she picked for him. She feels an attraction she can't explain and even feels silly for it. And she wishes he was real. Stella kisses and hugs him and even starts to feel his warm lips. One night she has a dream that he entered her room and they have beautiful sex. Little does she know, it's all real.

Justin asks her out and they start a courtship. Mercury is upset by this, but this is the game they have played for centuries. And the plot deepens...especially when Justin walks out of her life after he asked her to marry him. Stella is devastated. There is a turn of events that will blow you away. And the ending was done perfectly!

What I really like about this paranormal romance was how different and unique it was. I'm so tired of the same old stuff out there. This was really creative and I thought the romance was so sweet and tender. It's all about finding true love and that special Prince Charming in your life. And I guarantee you will fall in love with Mercury the way I did. He's so handsome, dashing, and passionate. But then again, so is Justin!

This book was the perfect blend of fantasy, romance, and fairytale. My attention was captured and I never let go, glued to every page. I have to commend this author on creating such a distinctive world with hunky gods. She kept me thoroughly entertained. I look forward to reading more books by this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars A really fun paranormal romance! 19 May 2012
By Annie
Format:Kindle Edition
"Stone Kisses" is a romantic modern-day fairytale about two brothers, Nathan and Justin, caught up in a game of the gods (it turns out their mother is a goddess), and the girl they both fall hopelessly in love with.

Stella is a smart, compassionate woman who heads out one day to purchase flowers at the gardening store and comes home with Mercury, a life-size stone statue, which she places in her garden. She develops an instant attraction to Mercury--even her next-door neighbors notice the "poor girl" talking to Mercury and occasionally hugging him.

But unknown to her, Stella's words and touches warm Mercury's stone heart and he gradually becomes more and more human. In the meantime, his all-too-human brother, Justin, is also falling in love with Stella, and now the game is on.

The story is full of twists and clever touches--such as when Jove tells his son, "You'll find Aphrodite in the computer under the Christmas card list." There are also many comical and poignant moments--such as when Justin's tears turn to stone as he loses his humanity, or when somebody gives Stella Mercury's broken stone foot to hold.

Paranormal blends flawlessly with romance in this beautifully crafted book--for mature audiences. You empathize immediately with Stella and hope she finds true love! Highly recommended!
