Kelly's debut single just comes to show that she does not need Beyonce or Michelle to pull of a great song! Stole is a twisted ballad, with an RnB bounce. It focuses on how life can be stolen in just one instant, and that we'll never know what happens to the lives of the dead. The song tells the tales of four teenagers, how they all had their life stolen from them. Each has their life changed/stolen from them and that we'll never know what happens to them. It's a very inspirational song; Kelly's main message is to cherish life, and to treat others how we ourselves expect to be treated. It's a nice song, with good backing vocals and lyrics. It's chorus is very catchy! The remixes on the CD are good if you're into club sounds.

I was always a fan of kelly Rowlands, when she sang in Destiny's child. I wasn't so keen on her first solo single, which featured Nelly, but 'Stole ' was absolutly amazing. The words are so meaningful. The song is all about kids, who for some reason or another, have had their lives ruined. The tune is very good too. It blends so well with the words, and Kelly's voice. A must have for any Kelly Rowlands, or Destiny's Child's fans.

Mixed up tracklist on the CD version 19 July 2005
By Darktruth - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
First of all, when I bought this CD single and played it something was kinda fishy...and then I realised that the tracklisting was all messed up from the CD cover judging that the remixes sounded familiar and weren't in the correct order but you still have the enhanced video. The actual real tracklist on the CD are as follows

1. Stole (The Gladiator Remix)

2. Stole (D. Elliott Dreambrotha Mix)

3. Stole (Maurice's Nu Soul Mix)

4. Stole (Charlie's Nu DnB Mix)

5. Stole (Bear Who? Nu Dnb Mix)

6. Stole (Azza Nu Soul Mix)

7. Stole (Enhanced Video)*

I don't know what went wrong with the tracklist on the cover sleeve but something must've happened because after some listening and checking of a 12" vinyl release of Stole the tracks on the cd sounded exactly the same as the ones on the vinyl. Onto the CD itself, the remixes were quite average and pretty subpar. The only one's that stood out to me were Charlie's Nu DnB Mix and Azza Nu Soul Mix.

Overall 3/5 Stars.
