This book is so funny! It's about a woman (Elizabeth/Lizzie) who is fast approaching her 40's and goes through some major crises in her life. She is obsessed that her husband starts having an affair so tries the tactic of following her beautiful sister in becoming more refined in her appearance (to say the least!). She does discover that her husband, Hugo is having an affair and I was as shocked as Lizzie was when she finds out who. Even though I am no where near the 40 age mark (yet) I can relate to what has been written. It's all about women surviving in a mens world and having to use their looks to get anywhere. Kathy Lette has made a great come back and this book is a must read!

I found this book very easy to read - good for a holiday, and with some excellent one-liners. But as far as the plot went, there was very little, and the ending could almost be predicted from the first chapter. Amusing, but not stimulating, challenging or exciting.

Nip'n'Tuck is a very funny read although the ending is a bit far fetched.... I would recommend it for a laugh out loud, quick book but nothing more.
