5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous book! 13 Dec 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I'd previously bought Lauren's Stitch London book, so when I heard Stitch New York was coming out, I had to have it. It's such a thoughtful book, full of items that you could give as gifts to a New York fan, keep in your own home, and also wearable items with that eccentric hint of New York in them. The book is brilliantly written, with information & instructions to assist a novice knitter that are clear and easy to follow as well as projects that are more suited to an advanced knitter. It is fun and quirky, without being tacky like some books. A well thought out, well researched book that has clearly been hand-stitched with enthusiasm and passion, a joy to own!

5.0 out of 5 stars Quirky and Cute 2 April 2013
Format:Paperback
I love this book :)

Lauren's writing style is imaginative and funny and there is a good range of projects in it, most of which are easy enough for a beginner to pick up. It makes for a really entertaining read, and gives you much more than just the patterns - it also really made me want to visit New York! The photography in the book is really well done, and gives you a good flavour of the City (that's if New York had been taken over by quirky knits, which is totally how it should be).

The dog outfits are just brilliant (you'll see) and it includes all of the iconic elements of New York, whilst making them quirky and fun. I love the tiny knitted King Kong so much.

This book would make a great gift, and so would most of the things in it.
