Product Description

Renowned for their unique sound, stylised with a fusion of blues, folk, big band, country and jazz, Sadie and the Hotheads, will be releasing their third album and commencing a 27 date national tour as the demand for their original and unparalleled sound continues to take hold of the UK. The album features special guests Mike Rutherford on Bass and guitars for 'Feel It', Gretchen Peters with Vocals for 'Wild Horses', and Barry Walsh on Accordion for 'Wild Horses'.

Elizabeth McGovern’s ‘Sadie’ has received acclaim as infusing “personality and charm… holding the centre stage with a warm mischievous smile”, whilst her zany and often heartfelt lyrics defines the band’s idiosyncratic music.

The ‘Hotheads’, consist of veteran musicians including Simon Nelson (electric and acoustic guitar, dobro), Steve Nelson (acoustic guitar, bouzouki, banjo), Terl Bryant (Drums and percussion), Ron Knights (Bass), Nick Lacey (Piano, keyboards, penny whistle) and Danica Chapman (Backing vocals).

The band regularly collaborates with world-class artists, such as John Paul Jones, Joss Stone, Faith Hill, Ms. Dynamite, Beverley Knight, Desree, Mavis Staples, Walter Trout, Pete Murphy, Roddy Frame & Maddy Prior.

Sadie and the Hotheads are currently World Vision Artist Ambassadors, promoting life-changing work of World Vision through events, tours and creative experiences

I have loved all three of the albums produced by this band but this one is something else. In a league of its own. Ultimately in the Americana style, whilst still being able to touch base with so many genres, it's fresh, lively, feel good and exciting.

If you need something that moves the soul as well as the feet, THIS is the album for you. Something for everybody, with music that tells a story that is instantly recognisable and relatable.

Congratulations Elizabeth McGovern on more intelligent and insightful song writing! Out of 5 stars, it gets 10! xxx

Saw twice on the M&TM tour (as their support) and despite a great group of musicians, the music was dreary, soul-less and didn't manage to enage the audience. It was once said the point of a support band is to make the main act look good. M&TM looked magnificent in comparison. Stick to the acting and avoid the awful female backing singer at all costs

Excellent band, excellent sound. 3 Oct 2014

This is the best Sadie And The Hotheads album yet, and that says a lot given how good the first two albums are. Elizabeth McGovern is a terrific singer and an inventive songwriter, and you can feel the energy of the band on every track. I could listen to this album every day and never tire of it. I advise everyone to get a copy right away.
