This is the third series of Still Game, and it is still as funny and entertaining as ever. At the end of series two both men were off to Canada to visit Jack's daughter and family. Jack had to decide whether to stay or come back to Scotland. But alas for Victor he still has not seen his son for many a year.
Back in Craiglang Jack and Victor get up to mischief along with other residents. Within this series are quite some poignant pieces, what with families living a long way apart, illness, isolation and loneliness. Of course along with this you also have some absolutely great comedy. Winston wants a new tv but is not prepared to pay the prices, and the older residents are having trouble with the youth, along with the troubles of gambling.
Of course, with this you can see bits of yourself or others in the characters, and it does make you ponder what life will be like for yourself when you eventually become a pensioner. Always enjoyable to watch, you end up thinking whilst also having a great laugh.
