5.0 out of 5 stars Sticky Teams 27 July 2011
Format:Paperback
Found this to be a very practical, honest and insightful book. The governance model is specific to a typical US church model but with little effort you can adapt what you read to apply to almost any model. It is about people realtionships more than structures and methods. The first few chapters were painful as Larry's mistakes were a mirror image of my own - laugh and cry. I wish I had read this before leading a church, however God's grace is sufficant and we can typically correct what mistakes we make - some congregations are very forgiving - if not they have probably left anyway - which though painful can be the Fathers shaping tool for our lives. Highly recommended reading for those in Leadership of God's church.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sticky Teams 11 Sep 2010
By C. Kidd
Format:Paperback
I've just finished reading Sticky Teams by Larry Osborne which I was sent a preview copy of during the summer from Zondervan Engaging Church blog but failed to read until after all our youth residentials. Whilst having taken my time to read it, once I did I realised it was a great gem of a book.

My job title is to be the Youth Team Leader at Tonbridge Baptist Church so how I keep a large team of key leaders and volunteers inspired, resourced and developing is a critical part of my role so books on the topic of teams are always worth a read. It is written well with a real sense of honesty and experience covering a wide range of topics from unity, conflict management, vision, roles, training, meeting structures and a whole load more.

If you're involved in leading a team in a church perspective then do get hold of this book, it's well worth your time.
