Sticky Ends contains 19 cautionary tales in verse, all funny, all very well written, some quite gruesome. My daughters, 5 and 7, can't get enough of it. Amongst the highlights are Vince the Mince about a butcher's dog with a secret, The Boy Who Knew Best, who learns nothing from his various bloody escapades and Sorry, Father Christmas, a contrite letter to Santa with a twist in its tail. Thoroughly recommended for fans of Roald Dahl's rhymes.

The subject matter, being all the revolting things that delight children everywhere, will probably more suitable when my 3-year-old Grandson is a little older. Still brilliant, though.

Good to see a new book of cautionary tales has been written and it reminds me of Roald Dahl too, but I was disappointed with the rhymes and didn't think they sometimes scanned as well as they could. Some were too long and I got bored with it.
