The two sexiest sleuths in gay fiction are Greg Herren's Scotty and James Lear's Mitch. Mitch has the edge because James Lear is a superb writer, Mitch uses his brain, as well as other parts, to solve crimes and because Mitch makes maximum use of all available openings.
This is probably the best yet in the Mitch Mitchell series, with an exciting plot, a cast of colourful characters and Mitch's insatiable, but frequently satisfied, appetite for adventurous sexual encounters. 'Holmes has his fiddle, Poirot has his liqueurs - I have cock' is Mitch's own disarmingly frank description of the inspiration for his crime solving powers. Great book: fun, funny, exciting and sexy.
