If one word sums me up it's 'Hungry'. This is most evident whenever I lie on a beach as members of Greenpeace smother me in wet towels and roll me into the sea. However, my hunger is mostly for knowledge; I am a voracious reader - sometimes 4-5 books a week - and my range of interests is as wide as I am.
I work as an author and artist and contribute to the popular BBC TV series QI, in particular to the QI Annuals that are released ... well, annually. But I also write my own books too.
'Joined-Up Thinking' was my first book. It's a fun read with 30 short toilet visit length chapters in which you'll learn why you should never spurn a dwarf, why being headless may not be a problem if you're a chicken, and how many people have actually played Doctor Who (it's probably many more than you think). Each chapter starts with a fascinating fact which then links to another and another and another ... until you are brought full circle back to the first fact.
The world is an infinitely fascinating place with more unseen connections than you can possibly imagine. I revel in it. You should too.
Now, where did I put that pie ...
