I wish I had known that so many recipes contain honey. Much as I love it, it is still SUGAR. My husband is diabetic, and a cake fiend, so I was looking for wants to use stevia without this sugar. The try me sample doesn't give any warning. Ho hum. Your gain, my loss.

2.0 out of 5 stars Yes, the recipes use Stevia, but it feels like only half the story ... 19 Oct. 2013

Stevia is several hundred times stronger than sugar, yet MANY recipes ask for a cup or more of the stuff. That would be like adding 300 cups of sugar to a recipe. I suppose I'd have to try the recipes (I haven't), but it's my guess that the recipes are calling for the EQUIVALENT sweetness of X cups of sugar ... be warned ... it's my suspicion that this is either brand specific, or a glaring oversight by the author. Also, there are no photos and no nutritional information. Finally, for a book about Stevia, with the goal being to cut out sugar ... the book is still FILLED with flour and other grains, as well as sweet fruits and so on. This last part isn't a criticism, so much as its an alert for those looking for low-carb, paleo or diabetic friendly recipes. While this is a step in the right direction ... it's only half the story ... (IMHO)

5.0 out of 5 stars Scrumptious Stevia 11 July 2013

I was, until very recently, totally unaware of stevia - but I'm trying my best to cut down on my middle aged spread, and this certainly seems to help. Em has included a plethora of excellent recipes here - in fact, she could have easily split them into two books.

What a nice introduction to Stevia wit wonderful recipes. Get rid of any product with aspartame. Use only Stevia because it is plant based. This book is chock full of wonderful ideas. My daughter and father are diabetics and this book will be helpful. Move over NutraSweet and meet a better alternative.
