Very fun. Expands in a flash is incredible :)! Only lasts a couple of days though then needs refreshing. But overall- great!

Brilliant stuff, really does exactly what it says it will do. The quantity one test tube produces is astonishing - a lot of fake snow for your money. The fact it is so simple to make (hydrate with water) is a bonus and you do not need to hydrate all of it at one go. We have plenty for next year too. Worth the money.

We used this to create snowy boot santa footsteps up out path and into the kitchen ready for Christmas morning. My husband made some on Christmas Eve and popped it into the freezer, then printed foot prints and hoof prints (stencil template) just before our children got up. Worth the effort - it feels and looks just like snow. A lot of fun. You just have to make sure that they touch but don't eat it.. I swept it up fairly quickly!

This is a test tube of a dry powder, rather like washing powder, it's not as fine as flour, and is made of small grains. Just add water, and it expands as it absorbs the fluid. It ends up as a big bowl full of white fluffy soft stuff. You can pick it up and touch it or move it about as you wish. It's not wet at all. It does look rather like snow. In the picture it looks like a foam, but it's not. It's more solid than that. It is more like the water retaining gel that you get for plants or soil.

Leave it and after about a week, less if you leave it somewhere warmer, it dries out and goes back to being small dry grains again. - which my kids then immediately re-expand! - For some reason they find this fascinating, (aged 9 and 12) - It doesn't 'do' much else but it is a great cheap interesting novelty, fantastic as a 'going home' present after a party, or as a small gift if you are visiting children.
