Steve Fenton brilliantly juggles his three major alter-egos, software developer, music journalist and humorist. For this reason, the biography is similarly divided into three major paragraphs.
For more than ten years, Steve Fenton has been writing software for financial companies, internet service providers, retailers, contact centres and clinical companies. He has created hundreds of websites for bands, actors, small business and charities. His first book, 'The Reason Your Website Sucks' answered some of the most common questions encountered when undertaking this work. Recently, his mini-edition 'TypeScript For JavaScript Programmers' was the first book on the new TypeScript language and launched just hours after the language was officially announced on 1st October 2012.
Between 2002 and 2012, Steve Fenton was involved in niche music magazine 'The Mag' and transformed the magazine from a local eight-page printed magazine into an international online magazine that topped the world-wide independent and alternative category on Alexa. The first few years were collated into a book to celebrate the ten-year anniversary in 'The Mag - The Early Years'.
Steve Fenton was also responsible for The Odford English Dictionary since its inception some 15 years ago. The ever increasing collection of humorous wordplay has accepted contributions from the general public since its inception and has been abridged into a collection of nearly 500 funny definitions in 'The Odford English Dictionary'. Further editions are planned to show case some of the altered words, phrases and Latin translations collected over the years.
Steve lives at home with his wife, daughter and ill-behaved cat.
